Purpose

Every life journey is unique, with different needs, attachments, and survival instincts. I am here to walk you through self-empowerment, curiosity for parts of yourself that may feel undesired, while offering validation and support so that you can explore your reality with compassion. Whether you are looking for your personal power, authentic self-expression, or to process the presence of difficult emotions, my goal is to help you find meaning in that journey.

Personal Path

As a first-generation Mexican-American daughter of undocumented and incarcerated parents, I hold a deep commitment to creating access to decolonized, holistic care for individuals and communities who deserve the chance to truly live, not just survive.

Before receiving a Bachelor’s in Social Work from Wayne State University, I was an active participant and volunteer in social justice movements. While living in Chicago, Illinois, I assisted with farm-animal care and rescues for a local animal rights organization, volunteered as an ESL (English as a Second Language) tutor, and advocated for a Civilian Police Accountability Council.

Since then, I have served as a Program Facilitator for Developing Despite Distance, a Detroit organization that supports youth impacted by parental incarceration, the Latinx Raiz Program Organizer for Planned Parenthood, and interned for Congress of Communities, a resident-led organization and advocacy agency in Southwest Detroit.

These experiences, as well as my lifelong journey of becoming whole after trauma, have shaped my understanding of our vital need for self-compassion, community connection, and mutual aid, as they define and shape the safety we experience in this world.
